Privacy policy.
This policy explains the information JB 3D Printing receives when you use this website, request work, create an account or place an order, and how that information is used and protected.
1. Information we handle
Information you provide
- Contact details, such as your name, email address and telephone number.
- Account and delivery details needed to provide the service.
- Order information, project descriptions, messages and uploaded design or reference files.
- Payment status and transaction references supplied by Stripe. JB 3D Printing does not receive or store your full card number.
Technical information
The website and hosting services may process essential technical information such as IP address, browser type, request logs, authentication state and security events. Firebase and Stripe may use essential cookies or browser storage to provide authentication and payment functions.
2. Why we use it
- To assess enquiries, prepare quotations and communicate about projects.
- To create and secure customer accounts.
- To manufacture, fulfil, deliver and support orders.
- To process payments and maintain accounting records.
- To prevent misuse, investigate faults and protect the website and its customers.
- To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
Depending on the circumstances, processing is necessary to perform a contract or take requested steps before a contract, to meet a legal obligation, or for legitimate interests such as operating and securing the service.
3. Service providers
Information is shared only where needed to provide or protect the service. Current categories include:
- Firebase / Google Cloud for authentication, application data and customer file storage.
- Stripe for payment processing.
- The website hosting provider for serving the website and maintaining security logs.
- Delivery carriers selected for an order, where delivery details are required.
- Professional or public authorities where disclosure is required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal rights.
JB 3D Printing does not sell personal information.
4. Customer designs and files
Uploaded models, drawings and images are treated as customer project information. They are used to quote, manufacture and support the requested work and should not be published or reused for promotional purposes without the customer’s permission.
Please do not upload information you are not authorised to share, or files containing unnecessary personal or confidential information.
5. Retention and security
Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to support an order, resolve a dispute, prevent fraud or comply with applicable record-keeping requirements. Financial and order records may need to be retained for the period required by UK tax and accounting law.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect data, including encrypted HTTPS connections and access controls. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Your UK data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, object to certain processing, or receive portable information. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Some information cannot be deleted immediately where it must be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution reasons.
